Biography and Work Experience
Melissa grew up in central Texas and began playing golf in High School. She finished 6th in the state Class 4A Golf Championship in 1992 and went on to play college golf at the University of Memphis. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and won the Great Midwest Conference Championship and the Georgia State Invitational in 1996. In addition, she was named Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1996 for the University of Memphis.
Melissa played professionally on the Futures Tour for 3 years before acute food poisoning ended her playing career. She has worked in various facets of the golf industry and has found a niche on the lesson tee. Melissa has over 19 years of daily experience on the lesson tee teaching men, women, juniors and seniors of all ability levels. She has experience developing and teaching 1, 3 and 5 day golf schools, clinics and private lessons.

Personal
Melissa and her recently retired pilot husband, Mike, just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. They enjoy traveling together. She also enjoys skiing, hiking, fishing and most anything outdoors. She has a passion for college sports and she loves her Dallas Cowboys.
